Toothpaste Manufacturing Plant

The main manufacturing vessel, sometimes called a contra rotary mixer, is an integral part of a Toothpaste manufacturing mixer. As its name implies, a Contra Rotary Mixer uses the principle of counter-rotating blades to perform scraping and beating operations in tandem. Cosmetics, Tooth Paste, Creams, and Other Viscous Products are the Most Common Uses for the Versatile Mixer.
To bring the material back to the centre of the container, the Mixing Assembly has a set of paddle-like blades that are the right shape. The centre shaft has paddle-type blades that are welded onto it. This shaft goes through a hollow shaft. For complete and equal mixing, the two sets of blades weave in and out of each other as they spin counter-clockwise and clockwise, respectively. One set of blades also scrapes the wall of the container.

Toothpaste Plant Special Features:

  • Material grade SS 304 for non-contact & SS 316 is used for all contact parts
  • A lesser amount of floor area is needed for a compact design
  • The customer can specify whether the product container should be positioned on mounting lugs or legs
  • The top cover can be raised and lowered using the hydraulic power pack and cylinders that come with the stirrer's driving assembly. A hydraulic lifting system will be used to lower and raise the drive assembly, making it easier to clean and switch out items. (DESIRED - Offered Upon Request)
  • The product container remains fixed to ensure safe operation while mixing
  • The bottom of the product container is hemispherical
  • Black particle contamination is not an issue because the stirrer is top driven and the sealing does not come into touch with the product
  • During operation, the product can be heated using the steam circulation jacket for the mixing bowl, and it can be cooled either during or after mixing using the water circulation facility. (crafted from mild steel or SS304, depending on the client's preference)
  • For the general construction and all non-contact parts, we use mild steel (SS304 is available upon request at an additional cost) and clad it with SS304, chromium plating it, or making it from SS304 in the GMP model. Using the GMP model, we polish the contact parts to a mirror quality and the non-contact parts to a matte finish. Mild steel, painted in the standard model, with all safety guards and covers constructed of SS304 material in GMP model
  • The standard model will be painted on a framework of mild steel that includes all non-contact components
  • The product's temperature may be seen using the digital temperature indicator that is included. (Steam heating temperature controllers are outside of our product line.)

Additional Features:

  • The machine was made based on the vacuum application for de-airing the mixing container, which gets rid of air bubbles in the product while it is being mixed for GEL goods. We do not sell vacuum pumps as part of the Vacuum System
  • The jacket of the container will be insulated. In the normal model, the insulation will be covered with M.S. material, and in the GMP model, it will be covered with SS304 material. (Not required)
  • Material comes out of the bottom. There is a flush bottom valve for letting the stuff out.
  • The machine comes with a sight glass, a light glass, a material inlet, a water inlet, a steam and cleaning water inlet, an air suction valve for vacuum, a vacuum gauge, and more.
  • The mixing unit can work at two different speeds. As an extra service, a variable speed drive will be offered for the mixing unit for an extra fee.
  • Set a digital timer for a batch of times.
  • Meter for amps for the main motor.
  • Controlling panel for automation that is based on "PLC".
  • Drive for the main motor that lets you change the RPM of the mixing unit
  • Online sampling port to get a sample of the product while it's being mixed
  • A colloid mill or an inline homogenizer
  • The mixing unit with the top disc has a hydraulic lifting system

Toothpaste Manufacturing Plant FAQs

A fully integrated closed-circuit system with contra-rotating manufacturing vessel, water phase vessel, vacuum pump, storage tanks, and transfer pumps designed for contamination-free toothpaste production from raw material loading to tube filling.

It preserves herbal actives like neem, clove oil, turmeric, and charcoal through vacuum-assisted, temperature-controlled processing with zero manual contact.

White abrasive toothpaste, gel toothpaste, herbal toothpaste, charcoal paste, medicated toothpaste, mouthwash, and specialty oral gels.

Interlocking blades rotate in opposite directions, eliminating dead zones and delivering perfectly homogeneous paste with uniform ingredient distribution.

Vacuum removes entrapped air, prevents oxidation, and produces smooth, lump-free, shelf-stable toothpaste formulations.

Yes — SS 316 contact parts, Teflon components, hydraulic lid lifting, and hygienic construction ensure full GMP compliance.

It dissolves humectants, thickeners, preservatives, and water-soluble extracts under controlled temperature before transfer.

It disperses abrasives and actives to fine uniformity, producing silky-smooth texture and consistent rheological properties.

Yes — precise homogenization ensures uniform dispersion of fluoride, triclosan, potassium nitrate, and other therapeutic actives.

It transfers abrasive and herbal powders without manual contact, ensuring accurate dosing and contamination-free processing.

The plant processes water, glycerin, sorbitol, surfactants, abrasives, thickeners like CMC, preservatives, sweeteners, flavors, and Ayurvedic herbal extracts under precise temperature-controlled conditions for uniform batch consistency.

Yes — capacities range from 5 kg R&D models to 10–50 kg pilot units and full-scale production systems up to 10,000 kg per batch, enabling seamless scale-up.

The PLC-based touchscreen monitors agitator RPM, homogenizer speed, vacuum level, jacket temperature, and batch timing in real time, enabling automated sequences and electronic batch documentation.

Yes — by adjusting abrasive type, thickener concentration, humectant ratios, and homogenization parameters, both opaque paste and transparent gel toothpaste can be produced.

The double-jacketed vessel circulates heating or cooling media to maintain precise temperatures when incorporating essential oils, menthol, and botanical extracts, preventing thermal degradation.

The closed-circuit vacuum system prevents air entrapment and contamination while delivering consistent temperature control and uniform batch quality compared to open mixers.

Yes — the integrated CIP spray ball system cleans vessel interiors, agitators, and homogenizers without dismantling, ensuring rapid and validated changeover.

The lobe pump ensures gentle, shear-free transfer of finished paste to storage or filling lines, preserving texture, viscosity, and homogeneity.
