Why Egyptian Manufacturers Source Machinery from India
Egypt has one of the oldest and largest pharmaceutical manufacturing bases in the region, supplying its own market and exporting across North Africa and the Middle East. The Egyptian Drug Authority regulates that base, and much of the current investment is replacement and upgrade rather than greenfield — which puts a premium on equipment that integrates with an existing plant.
Indian machinery is engineered to the same cGMP construction standards as European equipment at a cost structure that makes phased replacement realistic. Because all fifteen categories are built in-house, a plant can replace one section now and the adjoining section later without changing supplier.
